The Tibetan Mastiff is a massive dog whose double coat shifts with seasons. At 99–165 pounds it is a devoted sentinel. The AKC dubs it “Guardian Dog Supreme” for calm indoors and territorial stance outside. Former Himalayan watch dogs, they are independent, using bulk and a deep bark to deter threats.
